The Cluster for IT support to the Black Sea touristic business, responsible partner in the “NEETs’ Empowerment for Sustainable Employment in the Tourism sector (NESET)” project for the Work Package 5 – Development and launch of the NESET e-support platform, is excited to announce the launch of the pilot release of the platform especially tailored to the needs of young people not in employment, education or training (NEETs).

The NESET project benefits from a € 1 124 551 grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment. The aim of the project is to support on a large-scale transnational basis the sustainability of youth integration in the tourism industry, by creating conditions for NEETs’ employment and entrepreneurship in various forms of tourism.

The e-SUPPORT PLATFORM consists of the following key innovative elements:

The Jobs section is intended to match the right people with the right jobs. No matter whether you are a Job-seeker or an Employer, the highly informative profiling of the both types of platform users helps: a) job-seekers to find the perfect position that will boost their careers in tourism; and b) employers to identify employees who will perform best in the announced job vacancies.

The Start-ups section is envisaged to support would-be enterpreneurs in tourism to identify the most promising business opportunities using the Business Value Calculator that provides smart guidance and triggers start-up initiative. It displays four different financial indicators to keep the users informed about what their intended business is worth and help them plan and manage their business cashflows. For those who would like to expand their knowledge and build a sustainable career path in tourism, the Resources section offers a range of training materials, validation standards, case studies, methodological guidelines, cross-national analysis of the skills mismatches and workforce shortages in tourism, statistics. The section is open to be complemented with country-specific materials in the future.

And finally, there is the Transnational Network of young people’s trainers/peer support providers in the tourism industry. It offers innovative resources for transnational exchange and collaboration amongst youth trainers/peer support providers on the training materials, methods and tools, as well as on the training experience and planning, organisation and delivery of training workshops for young people. It will enrich the platform with the knowledge and shared experience that youth trainers/peer support providers bring to the network.

The Bulgarian version of the Platform can be reached here.

We encourage users (young job-seekers, employers, stakeholders, etc.) to explore the platform and use it for their purposes and strongly rely on their feed-back to help us fine-tune its content so that it matches their needs best. Please send your comments and recommendations to azona@abv.bg.
